What are your fees for online therapy sessions?

The initial intake session is $275 and reoccurring sessions are $250. If you are interested in learning more about insurance and fees click here.


What insurance do you accept at Calm Waters Counseling?

I participate with the following insurance companies:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC)

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield Carefirst in Maryland (Carefirst)

  • Aetna (Maryland and North Carolina)

How to get started in online therapy with Calm Waters Counseling

Step 1 | Book a consultation - Schedule your free 15-minute consultation on a day and time of your choosing.

Step 2 | The Questionnaire - You will receive an email with a link to the client portal for a very brief questionnaire to fill out. This information includes reasons for seeking therapy, goals you wish to accomplish, and your preferred days and times for appointments.

Step 3 | The Call - I will call you on the day and time you choose in the first step to review your questionnaire and discuss some of the information you provided. If we determine we would be a good fit working together an appointment will be made.

How frequently do I attend my online therapy appointments?

Therapy is a commitment and an investment in yourself. My clients see the best results when they attend weekly appointments. Once goals are beginning to be met we discuss tapering down.
